$20 Silver Proof Water Lily 2010

$20 Silver Proof Water Lily 2010

The Royal Canadian Mint has released the $20 Silver Water Lily coin, this is only the third coin to be produced using colour and a crystal effect to create a unique keepsake of Canada’s diverse flora, with the shine of .999 pure silver as the ideal composition for capturing the essence of water. The coins design has a beautiful water lily poised between two floating leaves with three CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements adding delicate drops of glittering water. The glorious colour and a shimmering crystal effect combine on .999 silver to create a breathtaking tribute to the water lily (Nymphaea odorata), a beautiful water plant that crowns Laurentian lakes from early summer to mid autumn with showy pink or white flowers and round green leaves that can reach up to 28 cm in diameter. The coin has a $20 face value and is produced in .999 silver with a proof finish, a limited low mintage of 10,000 pieces are for sale worldwide.
